My Day Late Cute Card Thursday Entry.

What can i say, i can blame it on my age, i can blame it on my schedule, i can even blame it on my kids but the truth is.... i'm stupid. I mean to say who sits up on a Thursday night to make a card for the cute card thursday challenge and then goes to post it on the site on Friday? Say no more.

SBS 18 Challenge

This is my entry for the SBS18 Challenge this week, the theme was flying and being a Penny Black addict i just had to go with this image. It is coloured with marvy pens and matt and layered with card from my stash, finished with a pink organza ribbon. Don't forget to check out the SBS18 new challenge blog, there is some fab candy for the winner.

Oh no look what i've done to my blog

CAUTION, PUT ON YOUR SUNGLASSES.

Enfys 40,000 hits.

Enfys (Going - Buggy) is celebrating 40,000 hits on her blog and she is giving away some fab stamps as candy. Why not check out her fantastic blog and say hi.

Hippy Chick. Pink Petticoat. Friendship.

I'm sorry the picture is terrible, def have to take some photography classes. Anyway sat and made this card yesterday, not for anyone in particular but i think i'll find a friend to give it too, also Sharon is celebrating 5000 hits to her blog and is giving away some amazing blog candy, check out her fab site and say hello. The image is Lili from Pink Petticoat and i thought the funky embellishments went great with her, very flower power, papers are free from a magazine and check out the funky wool, i just love it, spotted it in the wool shop reduced to a pound and thought it would be great with my hippy chick embellishments, what do you think?

Male Themed Card. Paper Take Challenge.

This is my entry for the Paper Take Challenge, male themed card. I have used a penny black image as i thought this little dog with his tie was perfect for a male themed card (Thanks Donna its from my stash you sent me). I coloured with my marvy pens, the paper is free from a magazine and i have just layered them with card from my stock, i added brads and a little No 1 dad embellishment from Dovecraft.

Oooo 10 years ago....mmm...I was travelling around America on a harley davidson with my then boyfriend Jon, oh we had such a great time, unfortunatly his work put an end to our trip earlier than we expected and i had to go back to N.Ireland and as he lived in America i knew that the relationship just couldn't work, he was devastated of course but he said he would just throw himself into his work to take his mind off me. You might have heard of his band, Bon jovi? Ok Ok it was all a dream but i'm a dreamer and there is nothing wrong with that he he. No, 10 years ago i was heavily pregnant with my daughter Jessica, we had just moved house and we were decorating like crazy to get the house ready for our little one coming, two weeks later Jessica Lois was born and we are still decorating lol.

# Prepare the dinner. (Look in the freezer)

3)Snacks i enjoy.
Chilli Nuts
cream egg
Panini's

4)Things i would do if i was a millionaire.
I would set up trust funds for the children, make sure all my family had a share, have a huge party for family and friends, i would buy myself a horse and give and work for a charity.

5)Places i have lived.
Lots of places in Germany ( hereford, munchengladbach, senelager, and a couple more)
Lots of places in England ( Birkenhead, London, Tidworth )

Arty Girlz. Challenge#36. Wings

This is my entry for the Arty Girlz Challenge, the theme is 'Wings', so i chose an image from Pink Petticoat, Yoo Hoo. I have coloured the image with watercolour pencils and added some sakura clear stardust pen. The backing paper is from my stash and i added a little lilac feather that had fallen off the front of the little owl lol, last i added little cardboard flowers, sorry not sure of the make, i have thrown the wrapper in the bin.

My Craft Room.

This is a few pictures of my craft room, I just love it, I can close the door, turn on my music and just relax with my crafts. The best bit is that i don't even have to tidy away after me, yay and not a little person's hand in sight, as you can see we thought about that and made the desk high, he he all i have to do is hide the chairs.

And another one.

This award was given to all the SBS18 sisters from our sister Jacqui, thankyou sooo much Jacqui x. If you are a big Tilda fan or in need of some serious inspiration, check out Jacqui's blog it is fab u lus.

I had a little Pink Petticoat evening with my 9 year old daughter Jessica last night and this is one of the creations i came up with. The image is from 'Best Fishes' by Pink Petticoat and i coloured it in with sakura glaze pens and an aquabrush then went around the fish with sakura clear stardust pen. The stitching around the edges is also done with a sakura glaze pen. I do love my sakura pens. The backing paper, brads and ribbon is from dovecraft, i love the pink, grey and black together and finally buttons from Poppicraft.

'Double up' Challenge.

I know its sad but I'm sitting giggling to myself as i type this, no i haven't had a drink, i just think Dottie and George are so funny. Anyway, This is my entry for the Dottie's world 'Double up' challenge. The Challenge was to incorporate two images from the downloads, so i came up with this, i love the idea of this card but i think i went overboard with the stamps on the background but I'm not going to change them after all the cutting and colouring I've done. Dottie has decided to tag along with George while he goes fishing, mmmmm think i would have gone shopping instead Dottie, anyway Bottoms up. (Text reads. Well, if you can't beat them....join them)

Arty Girlz Challenge.

The Arty Girlz challenge this week was 'recycling' so thought my coffee jars would do the job. These are my coffee jar craft containers, i have collected coffee jars for a while now for my bits and pieces, they are great for pens, scissors, buttons, loads of things and good fun to decorate. I decorated these ones using peel offs and then painted with glass paints. (believe it or not)

I've been given an award.

Thanks Steph for this award, It's my second award and both were given to me by Steph he he, well its nice to be appreciated. I now have to pass this on to three more people so I'm off to have a look.

I want to send this award to
Paylin Gina. and Donna.

I won, yay.

Found out today that i won the SBS18 challenge that was set by Vicky, Vicky's lovely sister chose my card, thank you so much. It was a pleasure making this card and the theme was set in remembrance of Vicky's mum which i thought was lovely, it gave me a little reminder not to take for granted that loved one's will always be there and i will send my mum this card on the 27th of this month. The second SBS18 challenge is up and running, the theme is 'friendship' most of the sisters are making ATC's but you can make ATC's, Cards, Scrapbook pages whatever so check out the site there's candy on offer.

Baby Girl Card.

I hope you can get the gist of this card as it is very awkward to take photo's of but i love the shape (Sorry i don't know what its called.) The images were given to me by Donna in some blog candy i won from her, I'm not sure of their names but i know they are Penny Black, how cute are the hedgie's? I again coloured the images using my prisma pencils and sansodor and they are cut using nestabilities. The ribbon is from the pound shop and the flowers and buttons are from Poppicraft. I stamped the text using See Ds alphabet stamps, onto pink card and then cut them into little squares, i then drew stitching around the edges, then mounted them with foam pads.

Male Themed Card. Big Brother Card.

Tracy from 'Dies to Die for' is giving away some fab blog candy on her blog, why not check it out, just make a male themed card and leave her a link on her blogsite to your card, then leave a link on your blogsite to hers. Good Luck.

My son's little friend in nursery became a big brother at the weekend so i thought it would be nice to make him a special card as i knew there would be a lot of baby cards around and i came up with this. This is Hamish a Sugar Nellie stamp and i think he's so cute, noticed that you can get a 'big brother' stamp by Sugar Nellie now. Hey did you notice the fab buttons? Guess who made them?....Yep, twas me lol i bought myself some fimo at the weekend and made some plain buttons to go with ribbon i had bought, i am very pleased with myself. Anyway,i coloured the image in with prisma pencils and sansodor, layered it onto plain orange paper and added the brads and ribbon which are both from papermania, i put red twine through the buttons and stuck them on with glue, the wording is just done on computer and stitching drew on with a marvey pen.

Confession Time.

Hi everyone, haven't put any of my creations on in a while, i just haven't had the energy in me lately to finish anything But now i am very behind and have loads of birthday and new baby cards to make so hopefully i will have something to put on tonight. I have now stopped smoking for 11 weeks and guess what......No i had a puff yesterday.... i feel soooo bad....why oh why did i do it? It was half a rolled cigarette, i was just having a bad day because i haven't felt healthy since i stopped believe it or not, I've been told to start taking vitamin c maybe that will perk me up a bit. Anyway I'm not taking any more puffs, I've just got to get through it, I'm on my last stage of patches and maybe when I'm off them I'll start feeling better because they don't agree with me anyway. OK now I'm babbling lol, less chat more craft. Smoking is bad for me, smoking is bad for me.......

I Love this penny black image that i got off Donna in my blog candy and i thought it was perfect for this card for my mum, i can imagine it as my mum, brother, sisters and i lol. I coloured the image with my prisma pencils and sansodor and embossed the edge of the card to go with the nestabilitie that the image is printed on, the flowers are from Poppicraft and the ribbon is also from the blog candy i received. Oooo Look what the postman brought.

I got some amazing blog candy from Donna today, just thought i would let you all see. I don't know how many stamped images on nestabilities there are but well over 100 and the images are absolutely beautiful. Donna you must have some amount of stamps. Even the different types of card that they have been printed onto is gorgeous and not only that a big bag of ribbons too. Thank you so much Donna, I'm sure it took you a long time to put all that together, it is very much appreciated and i will never be stuck for an image for a card for well over a year lol.

Completely Dottie.

This is for the challenge on the new blog site Dottie's world. The challenge was to make a Dottie or George card using paper piecing (there is a tutorial on the site about this) So i have pieced Dottie's hammock with the backing paper, I love doing challenges as it encourages you to do things you would maybe never think of doing and this was a technique i will definitely use again. The paper i used for this card was downloaded from Angie a very generous and talented lady on the do craft forum. Thank you Angie.

My First Dottie.

I sat and made my first Dottie card today, i was making my daughter a get well card as the poor wee thing has been very ill from friday with a stomach bug and i thought Dottie would cheer her up, it is in fact her second get well card from me as she got one on saturday too but it didn't work lol. I used my prisma pencils to colour but as i am still waiting on my sansador and paper stumps it is just coloured in in the normal way. The backing paper is free from a magazine and i have added a few funky flowers, brads and ribbon from craftime. I have entered this card for the Stamp Something Challenge but not sure if it will be accepted as the image is printed and not stamped, fingers crossed.

Yay I won some candy

What a great start to the week, i won my first blog candy for Donna's brown, orange and green challenge. Thanks to Donna's husband for choosing my card to be the winner. The candy is some great stamped images and ribbon, so i'll be hanging out of the window ready to pull the postmans arm off lol. Thanks Donna, it was great fun. Donna is doing another challenge shortly so why not pay her a visit.

George 30th Birthday Card.

With my brother's 30th birthday coming up i thought i'd get his card made in good time. I was spoilt for choice on which George image to use as he is into every sport imaginable. (well not table tennis) Anyway, i decided on Fisher George as i am buying him fishing tackle for his birthday present. Well i'll probably be giving him money to go and buy fishing tackle because apparently it has to be sea fishing stuff, is there any other type of fishing? Pond fishing maybe or lake fishing, i don't know. lol.

Lola Rose

I sat and made this card last night, its another Pink Petticoat image, Lola Rose. I used my Prisma pencils to colour her in and glitter glue for the bubbles. I really have to get myself some flowers and ribbons, i am running very low and i'm using things from my craft box that i'm not very happy with. Right thats it, i'm off to do some internet shopping and i think i'll treat myself to a Tilda stamp while i'm there.

Pink Petticoat Dino-Mite.

I just couldn't resist these lovely images from Pink Petticoat. I got an e mail from them this morning to let me know of their new dino-mite images and 10 minutes later i was colouring them in he he. So with it being my mother in laws birthday tomorrow, i thought it would be perfect to make her one from the children and voila (probably spelt wrong lol) I coloured the images with my prisma pencils and blending pencil and added a bit of sakura glitter pen as per usual, well you just have to don't you? The paper were free from a magazine and i printed the wording from the computer, the scalloped edges were done free hand but i'm happy with the effect, who needs nestabilities. (i do)

Brown Orange and Green Challenge

This is my entry for Donna's brown orange and green challenge. The image is from pink petticoat and coloured using watercolour pencils, a sakura glitter pen and finished with chalks. I didn't really have any flowers or ribbons in these colours so i have improvised colouring a yellow flower orange and using a black ribbon. but i found orange brads lol. I embossed the paper with my ultimate crafters companion and the wording with see d's stamps. Hope this will do Donna, hey cool name by the way he he.

For a brave little girl.

This card is on its way to a little girl called Katie. Katie is in hospital and will be there for a while so a few ladies from the do craft forum have been sending cards to cheer Katie up and brighten her room. I thought that a lili of the valley fairy is perfect for a five year old girl and i have tried to make it as bright and cheery as possible. I hope it brings a smile to her little face.

No cards today.

No cards worth showing today, have made a few but very like others i have on my blog so i'll not bore you. But i've been spending again, well i have now gone down to step two of my patches (to help me stop smoking) so i needed to celebrate lol. And with all the pain i have been going through with the darn things i deserve to treat myself, for anyone who has used the patches you will probably know what i mean. So i went to the papermill to stock up on paper and card and by the way, what is going on with their boxes? OMG how shallow are they? Wasn't too impressed but filled a box anyway, also stocked up on brads, ribbons and bits and pieces. Anyway didn't feel that i'd treated myself enough, you know i still had that empty, 'i'm not satisfied yet' feeling so spent some more money at pink petticoat. So i'm off for a play and i'll maybe have something creative for tomorrows blog, oh oh oh and the best news was that my son (who is in canada at the minute) bought me a tin of 60 prismacolor pencils yesterday, he comes home in July and i told him i would wait till he got home, that was last night, got on the phone this morning (which was 3am where he was lol i knew he was on night shift i'm not that bad) and told him to post them on monday lol, who was i trying to kid to think i could wait until July. I recently bought a sample pack from a guy called Tony to try them out, they were great so i wanted more. I wonder how long it will take to get here? I'll maybe question the postman on monday hehe.
