Bling It On

It is my turn this week to host the SBS18 challenge and the theme is 'Bling It On'. This means your card can be for any occasion just add a little 'Bling' this could be glitter, charms, mirror board, etc. So i decided to do a christmas card as i am making some cards to send to Emma that are being sent to the troops so that they have cards to send to their families at christmas, my son will be there so i might get mine back again lol. If any of you kind crafters would like to donate some of your fine creations (grovel grovel) please could you contact Emma and let her know, Thank you. F is for Fairy's.

Its wednesday again and time for the ABC Challenge, this week it is F for Fairy's and this is my DT Card. I have chose this little fairy from lili of the Valley, i think they are so cute, they come in a range of colours and are die cut. I always like to add a bit of sparkle to them so i have used my sakura glitter pen to go around the fairy's wings and dress but you can't really see it in the photo's. The sentiment from a little foam set that the kids used, i coloured this with a blue marvy pen and again got the glitter pen to it. The backing paper is from Dovecraft, i have framed this and the sentiment with silver border peel offs and added a few peel off star's. Down the right hand side of the card i have added a sticky blue ribbon but i don't think that show's up too well in the photo either. Hope you'll all take part in the challenge, i can't wait to see what you come up with.

ok here goes
1) I'm a terrible cook probably because i absolutly detest cooking, i would rather tidy a house from top to bottom than cook a meal from scratch, everyone else in my family, mum, sister, brother even my daughters love cooking.
2) When i am ill i don't like people near me or fussing over me, i would pretend there is nothing wrong with me rather than people knowing.
3) I have to keep busy, i'm not one for sitting about and a few times i've been told to slow down in my jobs as i am making the rest of them look bad lol.
4) I find it hard to go to sleep, sometimes i would lie awake till 3 in the morning i just can't drop off.
5) I have had loads of dreams that have come true the next day, my partners car exploding, earthquakes etc and i've always told someone about them before they have happened.
6) I do reiki and seikhem, i started doing reiki before i knew it existed when i was about 16 and didn't hear about reiki until i was 33 and then i took my attunments.
7) I was a biker chic and have tatoo's that i don't regret lol.

Funky Fairy Challenge.

This is my entry for the Funky Fairy Challenge the theme this week was anything to do with 'Celebrating' . I have used a sugar nellie image, coloured with Marvy pens and water, layered on some mirror card and pink card, i then placed this on top of some funky fairy backing paper from the doyadoodle download, then mounted this on top of more mirror card. The sentiment is peel offs and placed on a circle and then i cut some more mirror card with scalloped scissors and placed the circle on top of that. The ribbon and ribbon brad is from Poppicrafts.

Kimberly's Blog Candy Challenge.

Yay i eventually got it done. This is my card for Kimberly's blog candy, we had to be inspired by a case she had on her blog so i've tried to get the colour scheme the same, this is my second attempt, the first one is in the bin in little pieces.
I'm being chased off the computer now by my son Argh.

Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Well i have been busy this week, the weather probably helps as we have had a lot of storms and flooding here in N.Ireland, thankfully my daughter got mixed up with her rain and snow symbols on the weather chart and had informed us all we were getting snow and my son was preparing to make a snowman the next day lol, poor wee man was so disapointed. Anyway, this is my card for the Papertake Challenge and this week the them was 'button it'. I have used a sugar nellie stamp and i coloured her with water colour pencils, the backing paper was free from a magazine and the flowers are from Joanna Sheens Shop, the buttons and ribbon are from Poppicrafts lastly i coloured a happy birthday peel off in green permanent marker to go with the colour scheme.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

This is my entry for a spoon full of sugar, the theme was 'secret message'. I have used a Rachelle Anne Miller stamp called 'Baby Millie' isn't she cute? I coloured her with marvy pens and water and she is layered onto mirror board with tiny pink paper clips for decoration, i placed this onto a little envelope i made with pink card and inside this is a little tag with 'its a girl' on it, i decorated this with a pink pin, button brad and pink ribbon all from Poppicrafts, finally i mounted these onto white card added more ribbon and a 'congratulations' peel off.

Lots To Do Challenge

This is my entry for the lots to do challenge, this week the theme is 'Oriental'. This is my first time doing the lots to do challenge and i came across this decoupage from papernation that i had got free from one of my mags last year. The backing paper was from a fairy calender i got free too so a very cheap card to make and i layered this with green card. The ribbon is from Dovecraft.

Sarah Kay Challenge.

This is my entry for the Sarah Kay Challenge which was a sketch this week. I coloured the image with marvy pens and water and she is mounted on lemon glitter card, the backing papers are from dovecraft and the sentiment 'delight in life' is from Stampin up, brads, flowers and ribbon are from Poppicrafts.

Penny Black Sketch Challenge.

This is my entry for the Penny Black Challenge, this week we had to follow a sketch. And again i'm not at all happy with the photo's, today i'm blaming it on the weather lol, well its so dark over here the weather is miserable so its not bringing out the colour's on the card. (i'm bidding on a daylight lamp on e bay so fingers crossed) Anyway, enough moaning back to the card, oh and apparently its going to snow tomorrow according to my daughter, WHAT'S ALL THAT ABOUT? Right the card, i was given this image in some blog candy quite a while ago and i have coloured it with marvy pens and water, the backing papers were free from a magazine and the make a wish sentiment is from See D's birthday collection, brads, ribbon and flowers are all from poppicrafts and lastly i added a couple of little jewels to the sentiment.

Penny Black Challenge.

This is my entry for the penny black challenge, 'No Pink'. Had to get it on quick before i head to work, i'm quite proud of this one, found the paw paper in my stash, i've had it for years and it goes so well with the image and brads, there was a bit of tricky paper cutting but it all turned out fine, thank goodness for scalloped scissors. Cute Card Thursday

Wow i'm on a roll today, Steph you will be proud of me lol, Two cards in one day and there is still time left for another, you never know. Anyway, this is my entry for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge, 'The Two Of Us'. How cute is this image? It is by Whipper Snapper, i have just discovered these and now i wished i hadn't, i want them all lol. Right back to the card, well its very simple but i sometimes think when you have a nice image you really don't need to add much to it, sometime's i get carried away with embellishments and the end result looks too busy but i'm happy with this one. The image was coloured using marvy pens and water, ribbon and button's from Poppicrafts.

Tilda and Co Challenge.

This is my entry this week for the Tilda and Co Challenge which was a sketch. I've coloured the tilda image with marvy pens and water, i'm still not getting the result i want but practise makes perfect i suppose, and while i'm on the subject of not getting the result i want, PHOTO'S they are driving me crazy, most of the time i scan them but the colours come out different and the picture's look nothing like the real card and trying to get daylight over here is near enough impossible at the minute as the weather is terrible, its that bad i need the lights on all day......moan over (was getting carried away there) Anyway, all the embellishments on this card are from Poppicrafts and the stripey backing paper is Dovecraft.

Stamp Something Challenge.

Here is my entry for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge, the theme this week is 'Thank You'. I have used a Magnolia Tilda Image and coloured her with prisma pencils, i have used my friends cuttlebug for the background (folder Swirls) well it goes back to her tomorrow so i'm making the most of it. The little flowers i have used are from Joanna Sheen's shop, they are beautiful and come in a lovely little box that will be put to good use later. The backing papers i have used are freebie's from the crafts beautiful mag and i finished with a thank you peel off.

Quick post tonight as my family are waiting on me to watch a DVD (i don't even know what it is lol) so i can hear them huffing and puffing as they wait patiently. SBS 18 Challenge. Anniversary.

I eventually got around to making this weeks SBS18 Challenge card which has been set by Jane. Jane chose the theme 'Anniversary' as she has just celebrated her own wedding anniversary, congrats Jane. I didn't have any anniversary peel offs so instead i've used congratulations, i'm sure that will be ok though. I chose these two cute hedgie's from Penny Black and coloured them with marvey pens and water. layered onto pink card and stitched with white gel pen lol. My friend lent me her cuttlebug till thursday, what good friends i have, so i have used the bubble folder on white card too. I feel silly explaining my cards sometimes as they are quite plain and easy to see what i did lol. Anyway, I added a little heart embellishment from my stash, ribbon and brads from Poppicrafts, and finally peel off text and hearts on the background. Oh and let me remind you, Jane has a fantastic prize for the winner, you have until tuesday night. Good luck......to me he he. (only joking)
