I'm so excited..... and i just can't hide it.
Oh what a lovely day i'm having even though i can't move my head either left or right at the minute and the children think this is hilarious but who care's, i just got some exciting news and i'm not sure if i can share it with you yet..... but its to do with crafting and who else would appreciate my excitement but all of you? I'm waiting for an announcement on a certain blog and then i'll let you all know, oh if i could dance i would so i'm singing instead. x
Donna Does It Again.
Lol maybe i should change that title, i remember hearing about a film years ago with a title quite similar, yes i said 'hearing about' lol. Anyway, i just wanted to come on and say a big thank you to Donna again because not only has she gave me a beautiful facelift, she has designed a watermark for my pictures, do you see it? look below on my mice card......isn't it fantastic? Your an Angel Donna. Be sure to check out all the other blogs she has given facelifts too and if you ask nicely she may do one for you too, just click on her name and i will take you over to visit her, you won't be disappointed.
Mini Christmas

I thought i had better make a start on the childrens christmas cards for their friends at school, i'm trying to keep them as simple as possible as there is probably around 40 children to make for, one down 39 to go lol, no problem....eek. Anyway, i am able to get 3 cards out of an A4 piece of card which is good and really all it is is a stamped image coloured, so i'm stamping them all out onto a watercolour pad and colouring them in front of the tv, then all i need to do is tie some ribbon around the card, matt the image onto another piece of card and add the stickles. I've kept a template of the insert, again i get 3 inserts from one piece of paper so its bit like a conveyer belt, stamp, colour, cut, stick, tie, stickle, print, cut and bobs your uncle. The image i have used on this little card is from Cuddly Buddly 'Oh Christmas Tree' and i have coloured it with my marvey pens and waterbrush. I am entering this card for the Cute Card Thursday challenge, this weeks theme is 'Lots of Sparkle'.

Lili of the Valley Challenge.
There is a new challenge blog for all you 'Lili of the Valley' Fans. I love their fairy's for little girl's cards and their Dragons are so cute for little boys. So this is my entry for the first challenge, i have used backing papers which were free from a magazine but nice and bright for children and i have added sakura glitter pen to the fairy, i'm not sure whether you will see this in the pic but a fairy isn't a fairy unless she has some glitter. The flowers and brads are from Poppicrafts.

Penny Black Challenge.
This week on the Penny Black Challenge we were asked to decorate the inside of a card. So here is my entry, i have kept the inside of the card quite simple but i'm happy with it, i love the verse. I think i need a bit more practise decorating the inside of cards as usually i print off a verse and that is it, might have to invest in some swirl stamps, i'll add it to the list if i can find the end of it. If you are interested in a good site for verse's i have taken mine from 'verses 4 cards' . Oh and the image i have used on the front of the card is a penny black called 'sweet bunny' haven't used it in ages so was glad to put it to some use. Also if your admiring my lovely backing paper it was a prize from Jaime for winning an SBS18 Challenge, thanks Jaime i love these papers.

Dutch Dare Challenge 15
This is my entry for the Dutch Dare Challenge and this week they didn't want to see any square edges so i've rounded them off using my corner rounder and x cut shape cutter. The image is 'Max with Snail' from spiral whisper, isn't he cute? Thought i would get good use of this image with all the boys we have in our family. I have coloured him with promarkers, white gel pen and marvy pens. The catapillar is from the funky fairy 'funky garden' download, i couldn't get a snail but its a bug little boys love to play with anyway so goes well with the image.

stamp something challenge.
This week on Stamp Something the theme was 'Embellish Something' so of course i embellished a candle (need to go shopping for more candles) I have added a penny blsck image 'daisy chain' which is lovely as it almost goes the whole way around the candle, i have embellished it with ribbon and little purple gem stones. I won't need to get oil for this winter with all these candles lit, i will maybe start a section on my blog 'crafters credit crunch creations' lol.
Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge.
This is my entry for this weeks Spoon full of sugar challenge the theme was 'Christmas Card'. With all these christmas card challenge's i'll have a card for everyone this year lol. I have used my new penny black stamp 'christmas fairy' i just couldn't resist buying it at the weekend. She is coloured using sakura glaze pens and sakura glitter pens, well you can't have a christmas card without a bit of glitter. The image is layered onto plain green card and then this was put onto red glitter card, ribbon, brads and flowers are from Poppicrafts and to finish i have added red stickles dots around the image and sentiment.

Arty Girlz Challenge. Happy Birthday
I'm entering this card for the Arty Girlz Challenge as they are celebrating their first birthday so the theme is 'Birthday's'. I made this little card for my friends daughter 'Faye' who's birthday is next week. I have used so many different pens on this card just to get the colours i wanted to try and get the colour of her hair the same as Faye's which is a beautiful browny red colour so these are what i used on the whole image, promarkers, marvy's and sakura glitter and glaze pens but i'm happy with how it turned out, i also added some stickles to her top. The brads and ribbons are from Poppicrafts and the designer card is from papermania. (love these as they are so handy)

Forever Friends Candles
I don't think i've been so pleased with myself from i passed my driving test. Today i made my first candles, well i didn't actually 'make' the candles, tesco's made them but i put the lovely forever friends images on them, yay me lol. I think i need a bit more practise with the colouring but i plan to try different colouring technique's to see which is best, these were done with Marvy pens and a waterbrush. I have so many idea's going through my head that i can do with the candles, baby candles, christmas candles, birthday candles, oh and mothers day candles and yeah loads. Right can't sit here all day gassing, i've got candles to make. Sorry about the dark picture but i couldn't wait till daylight. x
Stamp Something Challenge.

This is my entry for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge, the theme was 'Inspiration' and we were asked to be inspired by the bag in the photo. I have used one of Louise's designs from the Cat's Collection downloads which can be bought from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I have coloured this with my promarkers and used a sakura glitter pen to go over his face. The ribbon, flowers and brads are from Poppicrafts and the backing paper is from Dovecraft.

SBS 18 Challenge
Oh i hope i'm not too late with this entry, i've been really busy with work and school meeting's etc, that i haven't got uploading my card till now. Anyway i have made this for the SBS18 challenge that is hosted by Jaime this week and her theme is 'Quoted' so i looked up the website she suggested and was in fits of laughter at some of the quotes, i especially like the one i chose, it did say 'If a man steals your woman' but i just changed it around. Its a simple card and the image is from Pink Petticoat and is coloured with prisma's, i also used stickles to decorated and just printed the quote out and both are layered onto lilac card, the card itself is one of the designer cards from papermania. So has anybody noticed the little mistake i made? I'll give you a clue.... her right foot is the same colour as her top...yeah you know what i done lol. Quote reads (for the visually impaired like myself lol)
"When a woman steals your man, there is no better revenge than to let her keep him"

Cute Card Thursday Challenge.
This week on Cute Card Thursday the theme is 'Cats and Dogs'. This image is from Spiral Whisper and it has been coloured using my new promarkers, they are great for colouring in but i still need a bit of practise using them, as this is the first time i've used them i'm quite happy with the results. The backing paper i've used was free from a magazine and i made little corners around the image by cutting a square into 4, the flowers, ribbon and brads are all from poppicrafts. Sorry can you tell i'm in a rush to get this up? Busy day ahead of me and have to go and pick my daughter up from drama. Catch up with you all later x.

Papertake Challenge. Autumn.
Over on the Papertake weekly challenge the theme this week is 'Autumn' so i have used this tilda image and covered the daffodil she was holding with my Magnolia Leaf Stamps, she has been coloured with prisma pencils and sansador and i tried a bit of distressing around the image. The backing paper that i've used is from a calender that i got with one of my crafting magazines as i had no autumn colour papers at all. I got these little Daisy box flowers from Joanna Sheens site, these were a great bargain as you also get the little inserts with them and they come in a beautiful little box that can be used for storing little embellishments later.

How cute is Marvin?
Another Grandson and another birthday, no our surname is not 'Walton' and yes i am way too young to be a nanny. My Grandson Dylan is Two tomorrow and he loves banana's so what better image to use on his card than Marvin, he's going to love him, Dylan also likes to climb over garden fences while at nanny's as i discovered yesterday so this suits him down to the ground. I'm just loving these cute spiral whisper stamps and great value for money. Anyway, i have coloured Marvin with prisma pencils and sansador and used the leaf stamp from my magnolia stamps to embellish it, i think they go very well. P.S. Photo's are taken with my new camera, what a difference in quality, i'm chuffed.
Award.

I received this lovely award today from Vicky from the ABC Challenge blog, thanks Vicky. Will pass it on shortly.

spiral whisper challenge.
How cute is this image? This is my entry for the new spiral whisper challenge, this week was a sketch. And although my pictures are terrible you can still see that the stamp is great, it is called 'milly on yule log' I have coloured the image with prisma pencils and used sakura here and there, then to finish some stickles around the image and on the snowflakes, i have done the snow with fine glitter and mounted the image on red and green cardstock. the flowers, ribbon and brad are from Poppicrafts.
Funky Fairy Challenge.

This is my entry for the funky fairy challenge, the theme was 'Back to School'. Haven't done a challenge is ages due to the kids going back to school, between shopping for uniforms and trying to squeeze day's out before they go back its been crazy so this is a great theme to start with. I have used a magnolia stamp, edwin on pencil, he has been coloured with prisma pencils and a blender pencil, he has been cut out and put onto some lovely funky fairy paper and i have layered this onto blue cardstock to fit with the colour scheme, I've done my little computer circle again, love these, and tried to make it into a little rosette type thingy, finished with a blue ribbon and star brad.

Sympathy Card

At last i managed to make a card, i've been so busy lately with kids that i had to clear the cobwebs from my cardstock before i could get started. Well this is a sympathy card i was asked to make by my mum and to be honest i didn't have anything appropriate for a sympathy card, so out came the old peel off box and i found this little black flower peel off which has turned out quite well i thought, you can't really tell from the photo but i coloured it with marvy pens and then h2o's, which brought the flowers to life a bit, i haven't used them in a while either. As you can see the card is very simple, i just layered these onto mint green cardstock and added a green ribbon to finish, now for some verse searching for the inside, will be back with more xmas cards later. x

Baby Millie

Hi everyone, i haven't done a post in ages but i have been so busy so will catch up with you all as soon as i can. This is the first day all the children are at school so instead of doing the housework i'm enjoying an hour of just peace and relaxation, ahhh, its so quiet here, bliss. Anyway, it was my grandson Bradley's first birthday on Saturday so i made him this little card, the image is Baby Millie which i assume is supposed to me a girl but can do a boy just fine but the thing i'm most proud of on this card is the sentiment, this is the first time i've tried to make a circle text on the computer and i think it turned out fantastic, i made the scalloped edge with extra card and scalloped scissors, i will def be doing this again. And before i go i want to say a BIG thankyou to Steph, who very kindly bought me the little easel that is in the pic to show my cards, what a lovely surprise it was.
