One Stop Craft Challenge. Nikki's Sketch.

This week It was Nikki's turn to set the theme on the One Stop Craft Challenge and she came up with a fab sketch which is to include a photo. Well this gave me the chance to get a scrapbook page done, Its been so long since I have made one and I was inspired by this beautiful green glitter card. The photo is of my 3 youngest children on Carrick Island, County Antrim, there is an amazing rope bridge that you have to cross to get on the island and Kalen decided he really didn't like it once we were half way over, so I had to carry him the rest of the way, it was very scary. I know the page is VERY green but we live in Ireland so it is allowed lol. Hope you can join us this week, we'd love to see you take on the sketch. x

Forever Friend Thank-you

This is a little card I made last night as Bridgett had asked everyone who was entering her blog candy to make a thankyou card to let someone know you appreciate them. I have coloured this little teddy with Marvy Pens and Water, I just love these stamps, I think they will have to go on my Christmas wish list as I only have the Christmas one's, this one was stamped out for me by a friend.

My Snowman Attempt.

After visiting Maddy's blog and seeing her adorable Snowman earrings tutorial, I thought I would give them a try lol. Now they look a lot better in real life because they are so tiny you can't see all the flaw's and I had to adapt them as I didn't have red fimo but will draw on the buttons when they are baked. I have ordered the bits and pieces to make them into earrings so i'm just waiting for those now. Maddy's are fantastic, mine a bit like albino penguins lol but it was so much fun, brought me back to my childhood. Will give them another go when I get my red fimo and hopefully I will improve.

Just Christmas Crazy.

This is another little card I made at the weekend, It was supposed to be for the 'Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Challenge' only its a day too late, for some crazy reason I thought it was due for Wednesday, well its not the first time I have done that and I'm sure it won't be the last. Well, I'm sure this is a 'Whipper Snapper' Image but you can correct me If I'm wrong, It was sent to me a long time ago by a blogging buddy, I'm not too happy with the colouring but as its my only image I wasn't going to waste it lol.

Forever Friends Thanks

Happy Monday everybody, I made this card at the weekend for my mum to send to some friends she works with (Trade Dept) So I had to borrow this little stamp from my friend Lee-ann as its just perfect for a mans card, she also gave me the little hammer brad to add to it. I have coloured this little forever friends bear with my Marvy pens and water and it fits in perfectly with this weeks Stamp Something Challenge which is 'ThanksGiving Somethings'.

Another Award.

I received this beautiful award from Sharon, Paula, Cass, Lisa and Linda, thank you ladies, I'm touched. I love receiving awards but I really don't like having to choose who to pass it on to, firstly because when I eventually decide who I will pass it to they usually already have it and secondly, there are so many blogs that I visit I don't like to leave anyone out lol.
The sentiment behind the award is as follows
This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind blogger's aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight blogger's who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
So the blogger's I choose to pass this onto are
Marlou, Steph, Cass, Emma, Jaime, Linda, Maddy and Jacqui as they have all inspired me in one way or another during the last couple of weeks. x

Hi everyone, hope your all having a lovely weekend, much crafting going on? I forget why I actually look forward to the weekends as they are usually busier than through the week lol. Anyway onto this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge. This week's challenge is an exciting one, not only has Maggie provided us with a lovely sketch to follow but the winner of this weeks challenge will be asked to be a guest design team member for the next two weeks and we are all very excited to see who it is going to be. Well this is my card for Maggie's Sketch, I have turned the sketch upside down for mine, which is fine as long as the sketch can be recognised.
For my card I have used:
Black Ribbon
large black flower
Flower Image (Stampin Up)
Eyelets

Let it Snow Again.

Another card made from my Quick Cards Made Easy free gift, this time its decoupage and again fits perfectly with another challenge, the Papertake Weekly Challenge this week is 'Let it Snow'. Off to watch 'I'm a Celebrity' I'm addicted.

Let it Snow

Well I've been keeping myself busy today, I managed to get 5 cards made this afternoon but have to confess, they were very easy. I have used the beautiful free gift from 'Quick Cards Made Easy' In this months issue you get a sheet of these cute snowmen stickers and a set of snowman decoupage, well the kids love 'the snowman' so I made these little cards for their friends, boys and girls versions. I am entering these into this weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge who's theme is 'Snow and Snowflakes'.

Maddy's Tutorial

Just had to come and tell you about Maddy Hills fantastic tutorial, Maddy does some amazing work with fimo but her talents don't just lie there, she has come up with a brilliant tutorial for colouring using whisper pens and prisma pencils, oh and a special new tool. You have to have a look, she will give you a good old laugh too, check out the naughty mouse lol. Thanks for sharing Maddy. x

My November DT Card.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, I haven't got visiting many blogs this week as I'm not feeling 100% and neither are the children, so its been a bit of a miserable house here, also, many of you who visit my blog know that my son is going on tour, he was home to say his goodbye's a few weeks ago but we were still able to talk to him on the web cam as he was out in Germany but he is flying to his destination tomorrow for 6-10 months, yep looks like his tour might be extended unfortunately, so we are all feeling very fragile.
Well, this is one of my November DT Cards for the One Stop Card Craft online shop. I was sent these Lovely Kanban 'Christmas Morning' Toppers to work with, I had never used them before but I really enjoyed them, they are die cut so no cutting was necessary, great if your looking to make a quick card that looks like you've put a lot of work into it lol. Oh and check out the beautiful foiled snowflake vellum, its so beautiful and very classy. To find out how to make this card check out Shelley's blog One Stop Card Crafts.

Forever Friends Challenge

Sorry the photo is dark, bad lighting so I might take another one tomorrow, in daylight. Anyway, I have recently found out about the Forever Friends Challenge Blog and I just love these little bears, so I couldn't wait to have a go. The theme this week is 'Round the Bend' which means the design team wanted to see circles on our cards. So I have used a Cuddly Buddly circle sentiment and I have added this to a blue circle I punched out, then placed this on top of a Poinsettia Flower, hope I spelt that right lol. I have coloured the image with my Marvy pens and water, added some ruby red liquid pearl dots then matt and layered the image with blue and red card then finished by adding a red holly ribbon. Oh the card blank was embossed with snowflakes but I bought them like that, not down to my own embossing.

A Quickie Card

This is a 'Quickie' card I made last night while watching 'Children In Need', I have made it for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge, which is 'Spots and Dots'. Unfortunately the colours haven't come out the best as It was dark when I took the picture, but its not too bad. I have used a Pink Petticoat download for the spotty paper, my Swiss Dots embossing folder for the dots, my su scalloped punch and a little stamp I picked up for 99p at my local craft shop. Oh I love a bargain.

Challenge 4# 'Pretty Petals'

Its Saturday again already and time for this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge. This week it is Eleanor's turn to set the theme and she has chose 'Pretty Petals'. So she would love to see 'flowers/petals' somewhere on your project, whether it be a stamped image, backing paper, flower doodle, embellishments, whatever you like. And as usual we have a fabulous prize for the lucky winner, which is this beautiful 'Wild Flowers' stamp from the 'One Stop Card Crafts' online shop. We look forward to seeing your amazing creations again this week, so hope you can join us.
This is my dt bookmark card.

I really enjoyed making this card, I forgot how much I love decoupage and with my new tweezer scissors it made it so much easier, I love them. I have used Paper Nation Kimino Lady on my card, K and Co Backing papers, flowers from my stash and green card. I scored down the side of the bookmark with a preforating blade so that it can be torn off easily.

This week on the Magnolia Vs Stampavie Challenge the theme is ' Clean and Simple' a nice clean and simple streamline look was wanted on the projects and no more than 3 colours were to be used. I think i've only used two on this card, green and brown. The Magnolia image was sent to me by Linda, thanks Linda, and I have coloured her with prisma pencils and sansador, the papers I have used are K and Co, Roam, and I have embossed the brown paper with my 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder, the flowers, ribbon and brads are all from Poppicrafts and the sentiment is a gold peel-off.

I made this little card last night for this weeks Secret Crafter Challenge, which is a sketch. I'm actually really happy with this card, I loved working with the sketch. The image is a penny black that was given to me by somebody a long time ago, I have coloured it with marvy pens and water, the papers I have used are from K and Co 'Classic K' and I have cut the squares with my cuttlebug and square die. added some prima flowers and flower brads, sentiment is a 'rub on'.

Simple Something's Challenge.

Over on the Stamp Something Challenge, the theme was 'Simple Somethings' "Make us a card using only one layer of cardstock" they said. Easy Peasy, I said, no problem.........here I go........and I sat....and sat...........and sat some more, 3 cards later, I produced this....lol, Why did I find this challenge so difficult? Oh my goodness, but I won't be beat, I will produce a card that doesn't look like my 4 year old made, just give me another week. I'll be back.

Fireworks

This is my entry this week for the Crafty Creations Challenge, I'm very very late with this one but I had to hunt high and low for this image, I knew i had it somewhere and I drove myself mad looking for it, I don't actually own the stamp but my friend, lee anne, had stamped it out for me, anyway I eventually found it under my magazines, maybe a tidy up is in order. Well, this weeks theme is 'Fireworks' and is hosted this week by Jaime but you'll have to hurry if you want to enter as it finishes tomorrow. I have used stickles of different colours for the sparkler and coloured the image using prisma pencils and sansador, added little clear gems, ribbon and peel off sentiment. Hope your all having a great day, postman has just delivered my long awaited 'Swiss Dot's' embossing folder, Yay, the postman got a big smile today instead of a snarl, I'm sure I frighten him lol.

Christmas Bling

I have made this card for this weeks Daring Cardmakers Challenge, the theme is Sparkle and Bling. The Lovely Linda/Linanna Designs very kindly sent me this Christmas Tree embossing folder so I couldn't wait to get using it, Thanks Linda. I've added little clear gems to it, some black liquid pearl and matt and layered on black and silver mirror card, then I embossed two lines and put the black and silver ribbon inbetween, plain and simple. Sorry for the wonky picture.

Cute Companions.

Oh not happy with this card at all, I wasn't even going to post it but I hate to see a card go to waste. Don't get me wrong I love these little mice but the layout of this card is 'terrible', maybe I'll pull it apart and do something with it. Anyway, I made this card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which theme this week is Fairies and Angels, I have used the Cute Companions Stamp Set 'Christmas Wishes' and coloured them with promarkers and Marvy pens with water, I 've also used my green glitter sakura pen on the branches. The Poinsettia's are from Poppicrafts.

Inspiration

This is my entry for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge, the theme is 'Inspiration'. Jilly chose a picture and asked us to be inspired by the colours for our creations. Love doing these type of challenges. Anyway, this is my interpretation, I have used my baby millie stamp and coloured her with Marvy pens and water, the scalloped edges of the card were using my stampin up border punch, the embossing was done with my 'with love' embossing folders, added a ribbon and 'handmade with love' charm and basically that's it, oh my flower and brad are from Poppicrafts. Sorry for the brief post, busy busy busy today but wanted to get this up asap as the challenge changes tomorrow. Hope you all have a great Sunday. x

Well, i couldn't resist them lol. Aren't they cute? So i bought myself the crafters companions cute companions christmas cd and a set of the cute companions 'glad tidings' stamp set, its the first time i've ever used a craft cd and i was really impressed with it. I love the stamps too, now i want them all, typical of me. Have you spotted the mistake on my card yet? I'll give you a clue, the little mice's ....mice...mouse's ah you know what i mean, well their tails....yep i forgot to cut them out properly but i already had them stuck on when i noticed, ah well. I have used crystal stickles on the background for the snow and i coloured the stamps with prisma pencils and sansador, oh another thing i like about the stamps, they are easy to cut out, i like easy. Well off to make another one, i think these are my stamps of the month lol. Oh forgot to tell you, they are all on offer on One Stop Card Crafts online shop. x

Paula and Donna's Cuttlebug Challenge.

Well I got my long awaited Cuttlebug last Thursday and have used it for the first today, think i was scared of it lol. So a fellow One Stop Craft dt member Paula and I decided to set each other a challenge, to make a card using our cuttlebugs by Monday, well had a bit of a family problem to sort out yesterday so we decided to post it today. Ok its a real simple card lol but at least I can now say i have used my cuttlebug. I'm waiting for my Swiss dots folder to arrive so hopefully it will be here soon, i have big plans for it. Anyway, on this card i have used one of my 'With Love' border folders to make the flower and i have added little purple gems. The rest is self explanatory really so I'll not insult you with instructions. The little 'Thanks' embellishment was sent to me by one of my sbs sisters, Kimberly. Anyway, off to have another go with the cuttlebug and see what i can come up with, check out Paula's card, its beautiful, well done Paula. x
I have decided to enter this card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge as I am falling behind with my challenges and their theme this week is 'Simply Sparkling' well my card is definitely simple and the gems sparkle, great.

Christmas Teddies Card.

This is the second card i made using one of the Christmas Teddies Stamp Set and am i allowed to say...I love this card? lol. Well i do! i was so proud of it, i even patted myself on the back lol. As a member of the design team for One Stop Card Crafts Online Shop, Shelley, the owner, sends us products that she wants us to use for samples for the One Stop Card Crafts Blog, well this was the second card i made, the first one was quite simple and i thought i would make the second one slightly more difficult (well it wasn't really difficult but let me tell you.......the instructions were lol) So if you want to have a laugh at me trying to explain how i made it (oh and if you want to see my hands with the dirty fingernails, I had been gardening!!!) then check out the blog.
