My Last One Stop Craft Challenge Dt Project

Hi Crafters, its a very sad day for me as I'm typing my very last One Stop Craft Challenge post, sob sob. It wasn't an easy decision to make but I am leaving my dt positions to concentrate on being a Stampin'Up demo and as a few changes have been made with the new Independent Demonstrator Agreement, as far as advertising is concerned, I have decided that I will be deleting this blog next week and focussing on my other blog Luvostampin, I hope you will follow me over as its very quiet there at the moment. Before I tell you about this weeks challenge I want to thank my lovely fellow dt members for their support and inspiration, I will truely miss working with you but I plan on stalking your blogs and sending you the odd cheeky e mail lol, especially Sharon and Paula! YOU'LL NOT GET RID OF ME THAT EASY HA HA HA!
Anyway, this weeks challenge theme was chosen by ME! and the theme is...
BAGS
I can just hear you saying Bags????? I'm glad that one's leaving what sort of theme is that! Well, as it is coming up to Christmas I've been making a lot of little gifts, sweetie bags, candle's in bags etc and I thought it was a good time for you all to start getting organised, see how good I am to you? But I didn't want to be too cruel so handmade gifts, bags or even bag images will be fine. I hope you enjoy the challenge and I hope to see your little faces under my followers on my other blog.
Pop over to the challenge blog to see the other dt's fabulous projects.
I will be back on Tuesday with my final Creative Card Crew Project and post.
Missing you already girls!
My project is a little candle I have stamped using Stampin' Up's Season of Joy stamp set, there are a lot of tutorials on you tube on how to stamp on your candle so if you've never tried it before you should check them out. I have put little brads into the centre of the flowers around the candle, these just push in easily, then just popped it into a little Stampin' Up Cellophane bag, added some ribbon and a tag and voila! A lovely little gift for a teacher, neighbour, friend etc

One Stop Craft Challenge~ Kids

Hi Peeps, time for a change of theme at the One Stop Craft Challenge. This week Shelley would like to see projects for Kids, these could be cards, gifts or images of kids. I decided to make some Reindeer Food bags, my children love to sprinkle it outdoors on Christmas Eve and the best thing about making your own is that you can put anything in the bag that you think birds, small animals, reindeer will eat as I don't think they really like glitter that some of the shop bought ones sell. The poem reads
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
When santa's reindeer fly and roam
This food will guide them to your home.
I've also been making reindeer poop, snowman poop, snowman soup and reindeer nose spares so I'll get them on my blog sometime this week, they all come with cute little verses. Pop over to the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the dt have come up with. Enjoy your weekend. x

Creative Card Crew Challenge~ Ribbons and Gems

This week at the Creative Card Crew Challenge the theme was set by Sam and she has chosen,
Ribbons and Gems
This should be an easy one as we all love our ribbons and gems don't we? especially at Christmas! So saying that I decided to get another Christmas  Card made for my stash, I've been so busy making Christmas cards for others to send I could see myself going out and buying my own lol. I have used my favorite Christmas Stamp Set from Stamping up 'Season of Joy' and the sentiment from the 'Yummy' set, then I've added my red gems to the sentiment and swirl. Hope you find time to join us this week and a big thankyou to our sponsor
Last but not least, a huge welcome to our newest design team member Victoria, I'm a big fan of Victoria's work so its great to have her on the team, you can check out Victoria's blog here.

You are a man my son.....so I will let you carve the pumpkin

This year we got the most perfect shaped pumpkin and I was so excited about carving it (yeah I know...I'm sad lol) But, my eldest son Adam was home for a week and just looked at me and said 'Can I carve it this year' as I looked into his hopeful little eye's I just wanted to shout 'Noooooooo its my Pumpkin!!! I've printed out a template and everything!' but no...how could I not let him? So I calmly handed over the precious pumpkin and watched lovingly (ok, so I sat staring at him watching his every move, giving the orders as to what knife to use and from what angle to cut lol) All of a sudden.......Nooooooo!

Ooops, 'I can fix it he says as he looks into the gaping hole, he'll just look spookier, trust me'

Not bad, not bad at all. He was sooo proud. lol

I love promarkers

Hi there, I thought I'd take a little break from all the Christmas Cards I have been making, doing them in bulk at the minute and its starting to get a bit boring (haven't put them on my blog yet) Anyway, I have followed the sketch at 'I love Promarkers' for this card, found some lovely daisy type paper from 'my minds eye' and my image is from 'Bee Crafty', they have been coloured using promarkers, still haven't mastered the hair colouring yet so a bit more practise is needed.

Creative Card Crew~Snowflakes

Hi there, its time for a new challenge at the Creative Card Crew and this week Claire has chosen the theme to be Snowflakes. So as long as there are snowflakes somewhere on your creation then you can enter. I'm sorry about the terrible quality of my photo, I am going to try and take another one today if it gets any brighter over here. I have used Stampin' Up products on my card, the little snowflake stamp is from the 'Season of Joy' set, maybe if you click on the picture you can see them lol. I have used little diamond brads in the centre of the snowflakes and I have added a little snowflake charm also. I have also made some little snowflake bookmarks and came up with the idea to use them to hang my cards up with ribbon, they are quite cute, just wish you could see them lol. Well this week we are lucky to be sponsored by Simon Says Stamp , pop over to the challenge blog to see what you could win and be inspired by the fabulous design teams creations.

Halloween Freebies

Hi, Just a quickie post to let you know of these fab freebie digi's Robin/Robins artful musings is giving away. Aren't they fantastic, this is just one of many, I have added it to a little bag of coins for the kids at halloween. I printed the image out twice, used a 2.5 inch punch for the centre, my brayer to colour and white gel pen for the moonlight shadow (oh no, now I'm singing moonlight shadow, it'll be in my head all evening lol) Then I used my 3 inch punch on the other image, brayered it and added the 2.5 image in the centre, added a hole and some ribbon. Perfect. Thank you so much Robin, these are going to be so handy.

I'm planning on making some trick or treat bag tags with him. The backing paper comes with the Halloween set along with 3 images, I have added google eyes to the image and I am using this card as a halloween invitation for my nieces. Oh Joy!

Hi Peeps, I'm feeling a bit under the weather today but I had been feeling so tired all week I think its just come to a head, so hopefully now it will soon pass and I'll be back to normal soon. But anyway, you know what its like when you have children, you just have to get on with it and I have a dt card to get finished too. Well, this is a little card I made yesterday, I have used a Stampin'Up stamp set called 'Organic Grace' and i have just stamped it with some chocolate chip ink. The cardstock I've used is also Stampin'up, Garden Green, Not quite navy and Chocolate chip, the 'Not Quite Navy' has been embossed using a cuttlebug folder (Opps forgot the name of it!) and I have also used my nestie labels, added some chocolate chip ribbon and finished with some brads.

Some advice needed on Cosmic Shimmer Mist.

Hi, no cards to post today, well I have some made but its way too dark to get a decent photo. Anyway, I was hoping one of you lovely crafters can help me out with some tips on using cosmic shimmer mist. I couldn't wait to get my hands on a bottle and when I eventually did I was so disappointed with the results, I know I am doing something wrong but I've searched the net to see if I can get any idea on how to use them but I'm only getting the basic instructions that I had already worked out for myself, spray onto project, worked that one out quite quickly lol. So, I've sprayed onto porous card, it soaks in not leaving a very nice effect and then the paper goes soggy and wrinkly, so tried non porous card, it did exactly what I thought it would....runs off the card lol. Arghhhhh so now I've bits of soggy card everywhere and my kitchen is silver. Helppppp

Some Halloween Projects

Hi, I'm back again with some Halloween projects, remember I was saying about my Halloween Invites? well here they are, well one of them. I'm really pleased with how they turned out. The stamps are from Waltzingmouse and just perfect for all my Halloween projects I'm definately getting my money's worth with these. And my next project is a little Halloween card, a cute one. I've printed the image onto my fabulous 'Fine Art Paper' from Photo Paper Direct, remember I tried this paper out on my Prisma Pencils with perfect results, well I'm pleased to say that it works just as well with my Promarkers, no bleeding! and blends beautifully. The image is a digi from Digital Delights 'Cauldron Teddy' and I've used the little bats from the Waltzingmouse Halloween set too, I made the little pumpkin from some fimo last year so I just popped it on too lol.

These are the challenges I'm entering into:

Challenge 32~ Scallops

Helloooooo, its time for a new challenge for the Creative Card Crew and this week its Sharon's turn to pick the theme which is 'Scallop's'. (not the potato variety for those living in Ireland lol) So its time to get scalloping on your creations. As you can see I've been at the 'timeless templates' again but they are so much fun! I've made a miniture this time, I thought I'd use it as one of the prizes for the children when they are bobbing for apples, but what will be in it? HA HA HA will it be a trick or a treat! Well I've used my lovely S.U. scallop border punch to make the little roof, Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the fabulous Waltzingmouse Halloween Stamps, the ribbon was from my stash from last year and so are the glittered spiders. Hope you can join us this week in our challenge, we are very lucky to be sponsored by Crafty Addicts and the randomly chosen winner will receive this wonderful prize:

A little Bowl of Soup

Hi Crafters, hope you all had a good weekend, I got a lovely surprise on Sunday when I found out my little shop project had won the Stamp with Us 'Top Spot' award, do you see it? Blinking at you on the right hand side, woo hoo, but not only that, I also won a place on their next cycle of Stamp with Us winter online classes, how exciting! I'm really looking forward to it. Anyway, onto my little card, I have made this little 'get well soon' card using some Elzybells stamps and I've coloured the bowl with promarkers, took me ages lol. The cardstock is from Stampin'Up, Ruby Red and Old Olive, I've embossed the Ruby Red with my Swiss Dots embossing folder and then added some Old Olive Ribbon. Next I added a little heart charm, some faux stitching and last but not least two little buttons, laced with some tiny strips of Old Olive cardstock. Now I'm off to make a first birthday card and I've no idea where to start, I don't think my mojo has woken up yet so I'll probably spend the next hour sitting looking at my craft table. Enjoy the rest of your day. x

Brayer Card

Just thought I'd show you my first brayered card, I'm really happy with the results even though it could be improved I'm sure with practise. I've never used a brayer before and I wasn't too sure if I'd get much use of it or not but I know I will now I've tried it, it was so much fun! Anyway, I used the big and juicy stamp pad (wow its huge!) in 'Spice',  a stamp from the Stampin'Up 'pocket silhouettes' set to make the tree's (can't take credit for that idea, I saw it done on another blog a while ago while blog hopping and now I can't find the blog to give credit) I added the image to some pumpkin pie and chocolate chip card, then punched a couple of eyelets using my cropodile.
I am adding this card into the following challenges:
The Crafty Calender~ Autumn

A little Shop

I was asked to make a good luck card for a girl who was opening a new shop, well the ole mojo went out the window so I grabbed myself one of 'my timeless templates' 'Its on the house' templates. I'm not too happy with the boring blank windows but I just couldn't figure out what to put in there and I was in a bit of a rush to get it made. But.....saying that, I was over the moon with the roof! I used my Stampin Up scalloped border punch and glued the strips one on top of the other. I have also used my new 'So Swirly' jumbo wheel for the background with Elegant Eggplant ink. I think I'll be making a few more of these, especially the smaller sized ones for christmas.
I'm entering this project into the Stamp With Us Challenge~ Anything but a card.

Quality Fine Art Printing Card

Hi Peeps, I thought I'd go pink today for a change, even though I am loving using autumn colours at the minute I thought a change was as good as a rest. Anyway, I was asked by Photo Paper Direct to try out some Cotton Soft White 280, which is Fine Art Lightly Textured Soft White Printing Card, phew thats a mouthful eh? and of course I was delighted to give it a go as I'm always looking for the perfect printing card for my digi stamps. Well this product just happened to be perfect! This is my first card using the Fine Art Printing Card and on this image, Susie Watering Flowers, I have used Prisma Pencils and Sansador. The card is lightly textured and one side is smoother, so I printed the digi stamps onto the smoother side, perfect for the prisma's to blend and I was very happy with the result. The card is 280g, acid free, so a great quality card and specially developed for fine art and photo reproduction. I've just noticed its half price at the moment too. I'm now going to try the card with my promarkers, I'll let you know how I get on.
I have entered this card into the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge ~ punches/die cuts.

Trick and Treat, Bits and Bobs

Did I ever tell you that I Love Halloween? Well I do! And every year I put on a Halloween Party for the Family, cousins, aunts, people walking by the house at the time lol. I go the whole hog, my halloween decoration boxs are nearly as many as my Christmas one's but its just so much fun! so why not! So I've started making my table decorations, the little lollipop sticks are to be put in the sweetie bowls (don't have these bought yet as they wouldn't even last till the weekend if I did lol) and the little milk cartons will be filled with spiders (plastic, no spiders will be hurt during the celebrations) and goodies. The stamps I have used on these projects are from Waltzingmouse, aren't they fab! Just wait to you see my invites (Not made yet but they look good in my head). Right, off to make Frankensteins head, enjoy your evening. x

Elzybells Challenge Card

Hi Peeps, hope your all keeping warm and cosy, its freeeeeezing here in N.Ireland brrrr. I've got the heating on but I'm thinking of having a nice fire roaring up the chimney tonight. Anyway, to keep myself warm I decided to sit and make a little card for the Elzybells Challenge. This week Elizabeth wanted us to 'case' one of the design teams cards, so I chose Jeanne. Like Jeanne's card I have used a little bear, scrolls with gems mine are embossed, with the sentiment at the bottom. Sorry about the bright picture, I obviously had too many lights on while taking this, you would really need sunglasses on to look at it lol. Enjoy your day. x

Creative Card Crew Challenge ~ Celebrations

Wow a week has gone by already! And can you believe that there are Christmas adverts on the tv already?(Advertising a Christmas Candle!) How scarey is that? Spookier than halloween!
Anyway, enough about Christmas, the theme on the Creative Card Crew Challenge this week, which was set by the lovely Nicola, is 'Celebrations' so guess what I made? A Christmas Card lol! But you can choose any celebration you like and us crafters all love to celebrate don't we? Autumn Inspiration

Good Morning Peeps, its time for a new theme on the One Stop Craft Challenge and this week it was my turn to pick, woo hoo! I just love autumn and the beautiful colours nature provides us with at this time so I just had to pick 'Autumn Inspiration' as my theme. Already I know I made the right choice when I saw the fabulous creations the design team came up with so I can't wait to see all of yours. For my card I have used cardstock from Stampin'Up, love love love these colours! The image is from my Stampin'Up set 'A little bit of happiness' which i have left uncoloured as the colours of the card were just enough for me. I've tied a beautiful piece of Old Olive ribbon around the card and added little tabs to hold it. Hope you can join us this week, there is a fabulous paper pack on offer to one lucky winner which has been donated by One Stop Card Crafts. Enjoy your weekend. x

All That Sparkles

Hi Crafters, its time for a new theme at the Creative Card Crew Challenge and this week the lovely Paula would like to see 'All That Sparkles' on your projects. That shouldn't be too hard as we all love our sparkle and bling don't we? Saying that, trying to capture the sparkle on camera is a bit more difficult lol, I took so many pictures of this card to try and capture the sparkle on the butterflies but I don't think I succeeded, I think if you squint and make your eyes go blurry you may see a bit of it lol. Anyway, we are so lucky to be sponsored this week by the 'The Crafty Pad' so pop over to the challenge blog to see what one lucky randomly picked winner will win, also the fabulous creations done by the design team. Hope you can join us this week. x

Green Irish Blessings

Second post of the day, due to no Internet I couldn't get this card posted but the competition ends today so hopefully I'm still on time. Claire at Waltzingmouse is releasing some fabulous new sets and opening a new web store, I just love Claires design's I really didn't want to miss out on winning some, you really should check out Claires sneak peaks, they are AMAZING!
Anyway, to celebrate, Claire is kindly offering a set of each of the new releases to one very lucky winner, all you have to do is make a card using the colour green and your favorite stamp, this doesn't have to be one of Claire's but hers are my favorite so I have used 'Irish Blessings' stamp set on my card. The Celtic Knot cuttlebug folder goes perfect with these little stamps, I've distressed it using Distress ink and I bought this beautiful green satin ribbon in bulk at my local craft shop, love it too.

A Very Late Post.

Oh my goodness, I was cut off from the world on Friday as my modem or is it a modem? Hub, whatever you call it was broke Arghh, o/h was away so I couldn't get any Internet at all. But all is well now, fingers crossed so I'm posting some very late cards and also apologising to the entrants into last weeks One Stop Craft Challenge for not getting my commenting done, I usually keep Friday evenings to visit all the blogs but I had to just sit here and look at a blank screen, can you imagine how frustrated i was?
Well, better late than never I suppose so here is my card for this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge, the theme was picked by Shelley and is 'Die Cuts'. I have used a Lili of the Valley fairy as my die cut, she is glittered but the camera hasn't picked that up, I have punched out some little flowers and embossed them then added some White liquid pearls to the centres then added some little punched leaves. Can you tell I'm rushing this post lol, so much to catch up on. I have used my little hearts cuttlebug folder for the background then sponged round the edges with some red ink, the flowers are glittered too but again the camera hasn't picked that up. Hope you can join us in our challenge this week, there is a lovely prize on offer for one lucky randomly picked winner. Check out the challenge blog for some fabulous inspiration from the design team. Have a nice weekend. x

Decorate the Inside.

Hi Friends, Its time for a new theme change at the Creative Card Crew Challenge and this week Sam would love to see you decorate the inside of your card. Our sponsor this week is 'Whiff of Joy' and there is a gorgeous 'Autumn Charlotte' stamp on offer for one randomly picked winner that enters our challenge, how lucky are you? I have used a little 'Whiff of Joy' image on my card 'Melinda and Muff' isn't she adorable? I've coloured her using my Prisma pencils and Sansador, my backing papers are from one of my christmas 'Forever Friends' paper pads and I've distressed it using SU Bashfull Blue ink. I've added little punched out snowflakes and I've added white opal liquid pearls to them. The inside is using the same forever friends backing paper and my labels nesties for the sentiment.
Your cards for last weeks recipe were amazing, I really enjoyed coming over to visit your blogs, hope you can join us again this week, pop over to the challenge blog to see the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the design team. x

Fold N Go

Hi Crafting buddies, I'm really getting into making things with templates at the minute, I suppose its because I have a lot of birthdays, fundraisers and a craft show coming up and I've started to think about Christmas too (shock horror). This is the 'Fold n Go' template from 'My timeless templates' and again its so easy to make. I'm going to fill this with sweets for my SIL's upcoming fundraiser, hopefully I'll manage to get a couple of them made but time is running out as its on Saturday and I have a very busy week ahead of me. I'm off to London on Wednesday with my Mum for a couple of days, spending Thursday at Camdon Market, I've always wanted to go there and although I lived in London for 6 months I never got around to going. So I'm looking forward to spending some money there, I wonder are there any good craft stalls lol. Anyway, back to my box, I have stamped the background with a retired stamping'up set called 'Best Blossoms', distressed the edges with 'Green Galore' ink, scalloped some black card and put this at the bottom of the box and used Labels nesties for the main image then added some black ribbon here and there. I'm entering this into the 'Colour Create Challenge' this week the theme is Neon Green and Black and the Cupcake Craft Challenge this week the theme is 'Distressing Techniques'. x

Beary Nice

Hi Crafters, I had a bit of a panic going on there as my computer has been playing up and its taken me all of 4 hrs to get on the internet, I don't know how I've got on but I'm half expecting for everything to disapear while I'm typing lol. So I'm going to be quick, just in case.
Its time for this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge to change theme, this week the lovely Sharon has picked the theme 'Beary Nice', so let your imagination run wild! I have been inspired by Dawn's build-a-bear spinner card here, I thought it was beautiful and my grandson Dylan just loves his bears, so I've used a little teddy image that I've had for years. I hope you can join us in our challenge this week, Pop over to the challenge blog for more inspiration and to see what prize you can win this week. Hope you all have a beary nice weekend. xx

MilkMade

Hi Crafters, I had so much fun making these cute little Milk Cartons last night, aren't they gorgeous? I have used one of Laurens fabulous templates, MilkMade, from 'My Timeless Templates'. I'm now working on another one of Laurens templates as I just love decorating them and thought they would be fantastic for the Christmas craft fair, I just have to buy some sweets to fill them and then hide them somewhere incase I get tempted. (It happens alot) Anyway, these ones have been claimed as my SIL is holding a coffee morning at church to raise money for the McMillan Nurses and I promised to make her a few bits and pieces to sell. All the products I have used to make these are from Stampin Up, I will be adding these pictures to my Stampin'Up blog with details of all the items used. Ok, off to make something else for my SIL's fundraiser, only a week to do it all Arghhhhhh. Enjoy your evening. x
