Simply Stunning

It's Saturday already??? Hasn't this week flew in? Or is it just me? Anyway, this is the only card that I've managed to make this week as I have been busy with the family but I've really missed doing my crafting too, so I thoroughly enjoyed making this little card. This weeks theme for the One Stop Craft Challenge (which has been chosen by me) is 'Simply Stunning'. That means I would love to see your more simpler creations, NO DESIGNER PAPER lol, its not that I don't like designer paper because I love it but I'd like to see what you can come up with without it. I know there were one or two on the design team that 'gasped' at my No DP statement but their cards this week are 'Simply Stunning' so I'm really looking forward to seeing this weeks entrants to the challenge. You can pop over to the blog to see what the winner receives and to check out the lovely design teams creations, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
For my card I have used;
The Ultimate Crafters Companion for the embossing.
An Elzybells stamp and sentiment
Nestabilities Labels Two
Rangers Distress Inks Brushed corduroy, Antique Linen, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Weathered Wood, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint.
Brown Ribbon.
Right, I'm off to a 'Stampin Up' open day In Belfast with my friend, Well........I have so much crafting to make up for! Hope you all have a great weekend whatever your doing. x

Some Photo's Of Saturday Night

As some of you know, we had a party for my son's 21st birthday on Saturday night at the same time we raised a bit of money for help for heroes by selling wristbands, auctioning a hero bear and doing a small raffle. So far we have raised £400 but we are hoping the total will be around £500 as we are still waiting for money to come in. Anyway, a fantastic night was had by all, the little one's only stayed for the first hour and a half and then all the antic's started lol. My son had a lovely Strip-a-gram lol, how shocked do you think he was when he saw his mate 'Conner' dancing around him in his uniform? it was like something out of 'Dads Army', you may notice in some of the photo's the lipstick on Adam's face, that was Conner lol. There was a video taken and has been put on you tube, don't worry Conner didn't do a 'Full Monty' thank goodness. I think its under 'Bro's Party (Adam's 21st)'.

One Stop Craft Challenge~Sketch

Hi bloggers and Happy Valentines Day to you all bet you are having the same problem as me, trying to get to the bottom of the sack of cards that was delivered and trying to find extra vases for all the flowers, I just don't know what I'm going to do with them all! lol.
Anyway, today is the start of a new challenge on the One Stop Craft Challenge and this week the lovely Sharon has made us a fabulous sketch to follow. This week, the winner will be asked to join us as a guest designer for the next two weeks and we can't wait to welcome you to the team.
On my card this week I have used stash that I have won or was sent to me by friends, the image has been coloured with promarkers and I have embossed some of the cardstock using my cb swiss dots embossing folder, the punch I have used was bought a few years ago from a craft show I was at, I actually forgot I had it. So, we are really looking forward to seeing your take on Sharon's Sketch, hope you can join us. x

Busy Busy Busy

Hi everyone, Just thought I'd come on and give a little explanation why I haven't and won't be around much over the next week or so. As I have said in previous posts my son is coming home on Tuesday for 2 weeks R&R (oh i'm so excited) and it is also his 21st birthday so we are having a big party for him but as well as his party we are raising money for Help For Heroes on the night and I am working on fundraising for this at the minute. My O/H is coming back from England tonight so I'm off to the airport shortly to pick him up and my sister is coming back from Gibraltar for the party so I have a lot going on at the moment. I will pop on my blog when i can to say hello but I don't think i'll be getting many cards made, maybe one or two, who knows. But hopefully i will have some brilliant photo's to show you. Take Care. x

Aqua Peach and Handmade Flowers

Hi Bloggers, hope your all well this fine Tuesday. I managed to make a card last night for the Colour Create Challenge, I'm still not feeling 100% but getting there, I have so much to look forward to these next couple of weeks so hopefully I'll be back on form too. My son comes back from Iraq for two weeks next Tuesday, Yoo Hoo, can't wait and its his 21st birthday so we are having a big party, My sister is coming over from Gibraltar for the celebrations and my o/h comes back on Friday so It will be a busy house again. Anyway, like I said I made this little card last night and the colour scheme this week is Peach and Aqua with an extra option of 'DIY flowers'. I really enjoyed this and love how my card turned out, I wouldn't have chose to use these colours but I think they are beautiful together. I made my flowers using Pink Petticoat Papers, which are also used on the background, I have punched the flowers using a flower punch, shaped them using a ball tool and finished them by putting a little gem in the middle. The image is from Elzybells and I have coloured it using prisma pencils and sansador.

OSCC Circles.

This week at the One Stop Craft Challenge the theme has been set by Paula which is 'Circles'. Now this can be a circle card, circles on paper, circles nesties, you get the idea? So for my card I chose a circle nestabilitie and went around it with some little flowers I have been making using my flower punch (Its very good to keep your hands busy if your trying to stop thinking about 'you know what') So its like a little daisy chain. I have used my little Elzybells Image and Sentiment which have been coloured using promarkers and I have finished by adding some yellow ribbon. (which looks more like orange in this pic) I have to apologize as I haven't visited everybody's blog that entered last weeks challenge, I usually do this during the last few days of the challenge with a nice cup of tea in hand but I've been feeling yucky these last few days and haven't got around yet, I will hopefully get caught up tomorrow. As always we have a fab prize on offer, so pop over to the challenge blog to see what you can win. Have a great weekend x

Forever Friends-Tall and Thin

Just a simple little Forever Friends Card today but these little bears are that cute you really don't need to add much to the card as they make it special on their own I think. I am entering this into the Forever Friends Challenge, the theme being 'Tall and Thin Cards'. I have stamped the bear onto pearlescent card and coloured her with distress inks, then I have cut her out and stuck her on using foam squares. The 'Make a Wish' sentiment is from a See D's birthday set along with the little star bursts, these have been stamped onto pearlescent card which had been cut using Nestabilities (Labels).
Still no snow here, it comes briefly and then as soon as the kids get excited it stops again lol, they are not impressed one little bit. I still haven't had a smoke but for some reason the past two days have been very difficult so I'm not the best company at the minute and I'm avoiding everyone. I should maybe make myself a little sign for the front door 'Enter at own risk' or 'Beware of getting your head bit off'.

A Great Saturday Night..... In.

As you can see I had a bit of a busy night last night, it was great. I must be getting old, I never thought a great Saturday night would involve staying in the house, a kitchen table, a cup of tea and crafting lol. But who cares, it was fun. I got some little stamps yesterday which were only 99p each, the fox, tree and giraffe and I'm really pleased how they turned out. Ok the first one is an image that was sent to me by one of my blogging friends and I made this card for the spoonful of sugar challenge, I have coloured it using distress inks. The theme was 'Love is in the Air'.

The next one is for the cute card thursday challenge, the theme is Valentines. I have coloured in the little fox using my promarkers, Nesties donated by my friend (Lee-anne, I need more! Lol Will be down during the week) Background embossed using the branches CB folder, the padded hearts were lilac but coloured them in using my promarkers, sentiment done by me on microsoft word.

My third little card is for the Secret Crafters Challenge, the theme is 'At the Zoo'. The giraffe is coloured using promarkers, I have used the swiss dots embossing folder and dabbed the dot's with the promarkers too.

And last but not least, A little 'Thank You' card for the Dutch Dare Challenge. I have coloured the little tree with distress inks, the dotty backing paper is from Pink Petticoat and I used my branches CB embossing folder on the olive card. Inside it I just used a SU stamp, thankyou for being you.
