CCC Challenge~ Warm Colours

Hi everyone, I was asked by my lovely blogging buddy Paula to be a guest dt on the Creative Card Crew Challenge this week, so of course I jumped at the chance and was thrilled to be asked. The theme set by Paula is 'Warm Colours' and I decided to use this image 'Whiff of Joy' as Paula had sent it to me, so sticking with the Paula theme lol. Anyway, I have coloured her using promarker pens and the poinsettia's are from Poppicrafts, I have inked around the edge of the flowers with distress ink 'fired brick' and added some gold brads. The ribbon was off a Christmas Parcel and the gold Christmas mirror card was also sent to me by Paula. Pop over to the Creative Card Crew blog to check out the other dt's lovely creations.

Secret Crafters 'Fav Colour'

Hi everyone, I haven't come on to moan but I have the SOREST throat EVER!!! Oh my goodness, I can't even talk! Kids think its great though lol. I know you don't really need to know that but seeing as I can't talk I can't phone people to tell them of my sore throat so i'm really missing out on the sympathy lol. Anyway, I made this little card over the weekend for the Secret Crafters Challenge , the theme is 'My favourite Colour' well to be honest, I don't really have a favourite colour it really changes with the season's but i do love lilac's so that is what I chose. I'm not sure what this stamp is called as it was given to me by a blogging buddy but it is coloured using promarkers.flowers, gems and ribbon from my stash and papers are papermania 'Amethyst Infusion'. Enjoy the rest of your day, sore throat tips very welcome. x

Challenge 21~"Tag It"

Hi Crafters, Its time again for this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge, the theme has been set by one of our design team, Nikki. Nikki would like you to "Tag It". It could be a tag on its own, a tag attached to a gift (Mothers day gift perhaps) or a tag on a card, wherever your inspiration takes you. As you can see I decided to make a card, I also took my inspiration from the 'Sugar Sugar' challenge that was a cracked glass technique. I hope you can join the challenge this week, we love to see your creations and how you interpret the theme. We have a fantastic prize on offer for the randomly selected winner which is a crafters companion 'Vintage Life' CD Rom, packed with delightful vintage images and papers.
So, have a great weekend, hope the sun shines for you and if you manage to get any crafting done remember to "Tag It". x

Crafty Creations~ Spring

Hi Crafters, I have made this little 'Spring' card for the Crafty Creations Challenge this week, the theme is 'Spring' and as I sat and made this yesterday it really felt like spring was in the air, the windows were open, I saw a bit of yellow stuff in the sky and the birds were singing, it was lovely. So as I sat enjoying my cup of tea and painting this little image with my distress inks, I sat back and took a mouthful of my lovely.......paintbrush water!!!! yep, i did and would you believe it I even swallowed it! Yuck! Well I suppose it could have been worse lol. Anyway, like I said I have coloured this penny black image using distress inks, I have matt and layered on pink and blue card, added a 'Spring' ribbon from my stash and to finish off I have made a little 'Spring' using some blue beads and wire which was coiled around a pencil to shape. Hope you can join the Crafty Creations Challenge this week, unfortunately the challenge has lost a lot of followers due to the previous Crafty Creations Challenge being lost somewhere in Blogland, the challenge just disapeared into thin air, puff, like that. Look forward to seeing your 'Spring' cards, enjoy your day. x

Something For The Guys

Hi everyone, hope your all keeping well. I've been meaning to get this card up for the last couple of days but time has been against me again. O/h is now away to S. America to work for 6 weeks so I should be shopping...sorry posting more often now lol. I made this little card for a friends 30th birthday and it just fits nicely into this weeks Charisma Cardz Challenge which is 'Something for the Guys'. I have used a magnolia stamp and coloured it with my promarkers, not the best colouring but I'm still not getting this shading thing right. I have added little 'Screw' brads and matt and layered using red card and mirror card. I really need to get myself some numbers peel offs as I wasn't too happy with these little number stickers that I had. I have also added stickles for the bubbles over the glasses but I've managed to cover it up with my watermark lol.

Enjoy the rest of your day. x

On a roll.....

Third post today!!! Well, the football is on and the o/h has taken over the tv. Do all men scream and shout at the tv? Do they really think that the players can hear them? Do you think they are just trying to put us into an early grave by giving us a heart attack when they suddenly jump off the sofa yelling? My poor neighbours, thats all I can say. I wouldn't be surprised if the police come knocking at my door thinking someone is being murdered. Anyway, back to the card, I have made this card for a new challenge called Creative Card Crew Challenge My lovely friends Linda, Paula and Sharon are part of the crew and they are all very talented crafters so I'm sure they'll inspire us no end, not forgetting Tasha, I don't know Tasha but she is equally as talented. Their theme this week is 'Green' and as I couldn't find any green papers I've done a simple card using green ribbon and flowers, My stamp is from Elzybells and I have coloured it using promarkers.

Spring babies?

Wow, look at me........two posts in one day! I have made this card for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge, the theme being 'Spring'. Well I hope my baby card will be ok as spring reminds me of new life. I have coloured this little giraffe with promarkers and when i was hunting for a brad look at what i found! A giraffe brad the same as my stamp! How lucky was that? I got the brads from Poppicraft in one of their kits, isn't it just perfect for this card? I love it when things come together like this. I have 'tried' to make a tag, its not the best but will have to do and I have embossed the background with my 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder, Ribbon is from my stash. x

My sisters birthday card.

What do you think of my pic's? Are they an improvement? I've been having a little play about with the camera, I still could do with a daylight lamp but I'm quite happy with the result. Anyway, I made this little card using the Magnolia Vs Stampavie Challenge Sketch. I have used my promarkers to colour Tilda and I made my flowers with a couple of X Cut punches, this is so therapeutic, I've added little lilac beads to the middle, aren't they cute? Had so much fun making this card for my Sister, hope she like's it. I have another card to add today so I will be back later. Hope your all having a lovely day. Oh and I'm embarrassed to say............I'm back on the cigarettes, I know..........I was doing so well, I'm disgusted with myself.........but I'm going to stop again, soon, I'll have to set myself another date and get myself in the right frame of mind, I haven't been in good form lately and 'Old Nic' got the hold of me.

Yay, some cards.

Ok, who admits to seeing the Clanger's the first time around? Well obviously I was way too young but my Mum told me about them........Honest! Well, I have eventually got some cards on my blog, I've had terrible computer trouble the last couple of days but O/h has cleared it all up for me, numerous virus's but all nice and clean now, fingers crossed it stays that way. I made these cards for the One Stop Card Craft Online Shop, they have some fabulous cartoon decoupage's over there, remember Bagpuss? ........no me neither lol, but apparently he was a pink cat and his friend was called Emily and he lived in a shop.........I've been told lol. I think these are great for kiddies young and old and I really enjoyed making them as its been a while from I've done decoupage, I forgot how therapeutic cutting can be. Well, now I have the computer fixed I should be blogging more regularly, I'm full of good intentions. TTFN. x

Back in the land of blog.

Hi everyone, well I'm back to the land of blog and I'm trying my best to get around you all as I've missed out on so much over the past 10 days or so, sorry to anyone who has left me awards and I haven't put them up yet, it may take me a couple of days to get up to date but I really appreciate them all. Well we said goodbye to Adam (he's back on his tour), eye's are still a bit raw lol and the house seems so quiet without him, we're all missing him like crazy. We have a final total on the money we raised for help for heroes, its £550, so we are chuffed to have raised so much as we had a target of £300. I'm having a bit of trouble uploading pictures, don't know whether it is my computer or blogger but I'll keep trying as I have got a couple of cards that I made last night and a couple that I made at the stampin up open day on Saturday, I am loving the stampin up products so much that I think I'll have to join, well I need to cheer myself up a bit lol. You see I have a big birthday this month and my sister had bought me a ticket for Gibraltar so that we could spend 5 days together, we had so much planned............well, O/H has a job in south america and it just happens to be at the time I was supposed to be in Gibraltar.........so...........no Gibraltar. I'm so upset about it, I know it can't be helped but I'm sooooooo disappointed, I can't help giving him dirty looks here and there lol and he daren't mention South America when he is around me. Right I'm upsetting myself again now lol, will just have to go shopping.......now where did he leave his wallet....do you think he dare say anything to me? lol

Forever Friends Challenge

Hi, hope your all having a nice relaxing Sunday. A very quick post from me today, I made this little card a couple of days ago and I haven't had a minute to get it up. Its for the Forever Friends Challenge which has a 'Black and White' theme this week. I have coloured the little bear with distress inks and matted it onto black card, Scalloped some more black card for the edge of the card and added a pretty ribbon, then out with the white gel pen and 'Doodle Dotted' here and there. Another simple card from me I'm afraid, I will hopefully get more challenging one's done this week. Enjoy the rest of your day. x
