I love promarkers

Hi there, I thought I'd take a little break from all the Christmas Cards I have been making, doing them in bulk at the minute and its starting to get a bit boring (haven't put them on my blog yet) Anyway, I have followed the sketch at 'I love Promarkers' for this card, found some lovely daisy type paper from 'my minds eye' and my image is from 'Bee Crafty', they have been coloured using promarkers, still haven't mastered the hair colouring yet so a bit more practise is needed.

Creative Card Crew~Snowflakes

Hi there, its time for a new challenge at the Creative Card Crew and this week Claire has chosen the theme to be Snowflakes. So as long as there are snowflakes somewhere on your creation then you can enter. I'm sorry about the terrible quality of my photo, I am going to try and take another one today if it gets any brighter over here. I have used Stampin' Up products on my card, the little snowflake stamp is from the 'Season of Joy' set, maybe if you click on the picture you can see them lol. I have used little diamond brads in the centre of the snowflakes and I have added a little snowflake charm also. I have also made some little snowflake bookmarks and came up with the idea to use them to hang my cards up with ribbon, they are quite cute, just wish you could see them lol. Well this week we are lucky to be sponsored by Simon Says Stamp , pop over to the challenge blog to see what you could win and be inspired by the fabulous design teams creations.

Halloween Freebies

Hi, Just a quickie post to let you know of these fab freebie digi's Robin/Robins artful musings is giving away. Aren't they fantastic, this is just one of many, I have added it to a little bag of coins for the kids at halloween. I printed the image out twice, used a 2.5 inch punch for the centre, my brayer to colour and white gel pen for the moonlight shadow (oh no, now I'm singing moonlight shadow, it'll be in my head all evening lol) Then I used my 3 inch punch on the other image, brayered it and added the 2.5 image in the centre, added a hole and some ribbon. Perfect. Thank you so much Robin, these are going to be so handy.

Hi all, hope you had a lovely weekend. Are Sunday evenings as busy in your house as they are in mine? or am I the only one that leaves uniforms etc to the last minute? Well before I go back and get stuck into the ironing I wanted to get this little monster card up. The Image is from Bee Crafty Downloads I just love this little guy and my son thinks he's 'Class'. I'm planning on making some trick or treat bag tags with him. The backing paper comes with the Halloween set along with 3 images, I have added google eyes to the image and I am using this card as a halloween invitation for my nieces. Oh Joy!

Hi Peeps, I'm feeling a bit under the weather today but I had been feeling so tired all week I think its just come to a head, so hopefully now it will soon pass and I'll be back to normal soon. But anyway, you know what its like when you have children, you just have to get on with it and I have a dt card to get finished too. Well, this is a little card I made yesterday, I have used a Stampin'Up stamp set called 'Organic Grace' and i have just stamped it with some chocolate chip ink. The cardstock I've used is also Stampin'up, Garden Green, Not quite navy and Chocolate chip, the 'Not Quite Navy' has been embossed using a cuttlebug folder (Opps forgot the name of it!) and I have also used my nestie labels, added some chocolate chip ribbon and finished with some brads.

Some advice needed on Cosmic Shimmer Mist.

Hi, no cards to post today, well I have some made but its way too dark to get a decent photo. Anyway, I was hoping one of you lovely crafters can help me out with some tips on using cosmic shimmer mist. I couldn't wait to get my hands on a bottle and when I eventually did I was so disappointed with the results, I know I am doing something wrong but I've searched the net to see if I can get any idea on how to use them but I'm only getting the basic instructions that I had already worked out for myself, spray onto project, worked that one out quite quickly lol. So, I've sprayed onto porous card, it soaks in not leaving a very nice effect and then the paper goes soggy and wrinkly, so tried non porous card, it did exactly what I thought it would....runs off the card lol. Arghhhhh so now I've bits of soggy card everywhere and my kitchen is silver. Helppppp

Some Halloween Projects

Hi, I'm back again with some Halloween projects, remember I was saying about my Halloween Invites? well here they are, well one of them. I'm really pleased with how they turned out. The stamps are from Waltzingmouse and just perfect for all my Halloween projects I'm definately getting my money's worth with these. And my next project is a little Halloween card, a cute one. I've printed the image onto my fabulous 'Fine Art Paper' from Photo Paper Direct, remember I tried this paper out on my Prisma Pencils with perfect results, well I'm pleased to say that it works just as well with my Promarkers, no bleeding! and blends beautifully. The image is a digi from Digital Delights 'Cauldron Teddy' and I've used the little bats from the Waltzingmouse Halloween set too, I made the little pumpkin from some fimo last year so I just popped it on too lol.

These are the challenges I'm entering into:

Helloooooo, its time for a new challenge for the Creative Card Crew and this week its Sharon's turn to pick the theme which is 'Scallop's'. (not the potato variety for those living in Ireland lol) So its time to get scalloping on your creations. As you can see I've been at the 'timeless templates' again but they are so much fun! I've made a miniture this time, I thought I'd use it as one of the prizes for the children when they are bobbing for apples, but what will be in it? HA HA HA will it be a trick or a treat! Well I've used my lovely S.U. scallop border punch to make the little roof, Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the fabulous Waltzingmouse Halloween Stamps, the ribbon was from my stash from last year and so are the glittered spiders. Hope you can join us this week in our challenge, we are very lucky to be sponsored by Crafty Addicts and the randomly chosen winner will receive this wonderful prize:

A little Bowl of Soup

Hi Crafters, hope you all had a good weekend, I got a lovely surprise on Sunday when I found out my little shop project had won the Stamp with Us 'Top Spot' award, do you see it? Blinking at you on the right hand side, woo hoo, but not only that, I also won a place on their next cycle of Stamp with Us winter online classes, how exciting! I'm really looking forward to it. Anyway, onto my little card, I have made this little 'get well soon' card using some Elzybells stamps and I've coloured the bowl with promarkers, took me ages lol. The cardstock is from Stampin'Up, Ruby Red and Old Olive, I've embossed the Ruby Red with my Swiss Dots embossing folder and then added some Old Olive Ribbon. Next I added a little heart charm, some faux stitching and last but not least two little buttons, laced with some tiny strips of Old Olive cardstock. Now I'm off to make a first birthday card and I've no idea where to start, I don't think my mojo has woken up yet so I'll probably spend the next hour sitting looking at my craft table. Enjoy the rest of your day. x

Brayer Card

Just thought I'd show you my first brayered card, I'm really happy with the results even though it could be improved I'm sure with practise. I've never used a brayer before and I wasn't too sure if I'd get much use of it or not but I know I will now I've tried it, it was so much fun! Anyway, I used the big and juicy stamp pad (wow its huge!) in 'Spice',  a stamp from the Stampin'Up 'pocket silhouettes' set to make the tree's (can't take credit for that idea, I saw it done on another blog a while ago while blog hopping and now I can't find the blog to give credit) I added the image to some pumpkin pie and chocolate chip card, then punched a couple of eyelets using my cropodile.
I am adding this card into the following challenges:

A little Shop

I was asked to make a good luck card for a girl who was opening a new shop, well the ole mojo went out the window so I grabbed myself one of 'my timeless templates' 'Its on the house' templates. I'm not too happy with the boring blank windows but I just couldn't figure out what to put in there and I was in a bit of a rush to get it made. But.....saying that, I was over the moon with the roof! I used my Stampin Up scalloped border punch and glued the strips one on top of the other. I have also used my new 'So Swirly' jumbo wheel for the background with Elegant Eggplant ink. I think I'll be making a few more of these, especially the smaller sized ones for christmas.
I'm entering this project into the Stamp With Us Challenge~ Anything but a card.

Quality Fine Art Printing Card

Hi Peeps, I thought I'd go pink today for a change, even though I am loving using autumn colours at the minute I thought a change was as good as a rest. Anyway, I was asked by Photo Paper Direct to try out some Cotton Soft White 280, which is Fine Art Lightly Textured Soft White Printing Card, phew thats a mouthful eh? and of course I was delighted to give it a go as I'm always looking for the perfect printing card for my digi stamps. Well this product just happened to be perfect! This is my first card using the Fine Art Printing Card and on this image, Susie Watering Flowers, I have used Prisma Pencils and Sansador. The card is lightly textured and one side is smoother, so I printed the digi stamps onto the smoother side, perfect for the prisma's to blend and I was very happy with the result. The card is 280g, acid free, so a great quality card and specially developed for fine art and photo reproduction. I've just noticed its half price at the moment too. I'm now going to try the card with my promarkers, I'll let you know how I get on.
I have entered this card into the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge ~ punches/die cuts.

Trick and Treat, Bits and Bobs

Did I ever tell you that I Love Halloween? Well I do! And every year I put on a Halloween Party for the Family, cousins, aunts, people walking by the house at the time lol. I go the whole hog, my halloween decoration boxs are nearly as many as my Christmas one's but its just so much fun! so why not! So I've started making my table decorations, the little lollipop sticks are to be put in the sweetie bowls (don't have these bought yet as they wouldn't even last till the weekend if I did lol) and the little milk cartons will be filled with spiders (plastic, no spiders will be hurt during the celebrations) and goodies. The stamps I have used on these projects are from Waltzingmouse, aren't they fab! Just wait to you see my invites (Not made yet but they look good in my head). Right, off to make Frankensteins head, enjoy your evening. x

Elzybells Challenge Card

Hi Peeps, hope your all keeping warm and cosy, its freeeeeezing here in N.Ireland brrrr. I've got the heating on but I'm thinking of having a nice fire roaring up the chimney tonight. Anyway, to keep myself warm I decided to sit and make a little card for the Elzybells Challenge. This week Elizabeth wanted us to 'case' one of the design teams cards, so I chose Jeanne. Like Jeanne's card I have used a little bear, scrolls with gems mine are embossed, with the sentiment at the bottom. Sorry about the bright picture, I obviously had too many lights on while taking this, you would really need sunglasses on to look at it lol. Enjoy your day. x

Autumn Inspiration

Good Morning Peeps, its time for a new theme on the One Stop Craft Challenge and this week it was my turn to pick, woo hoo! I just love autumn and the beautiful colours nature provides us with at this time so I just had to pick 'Autumn Inspiration' as my theme. Already I know I made the right choice when I saw the fabulous creations the design team came up with so I can't wait to see all of yours. For my card I have used cardstock from Stampin'Up, love love love these colours! The image is from my Stampin'Up set 'A little bit of happiness' which i have left uncoloured as the colours of the card were just enough for me. I've tied a beautiful piece of Old Olive ribbon around the card and added little tabs to hold it. Hope you can join us this week, there is a fabulous paper pack on offer to one lucky winner which has been donated by One Stop Card Crafts. Enjoy your weekend. x
