My Colour Me In Card.

Well, i said i would find something different to do and i did, as i was printing out some paper for the funky fairy challenge i came across these little flower backing papers from the 'do ya doodle' funky fairy downloads and i was hit by a brainwave, doesn't happen often but i'm quite proud of this one lol. Well i thought wouldn't it be a good idea to make a card for a child that they could colour in themselves, now i'm sure it has been thought of but for now i'm feeling pretty clever so don't spoil it for me hehe. Anyway i stamped out a funky fairy too and although i was tempted i didn't colour her, I've added doodle stitches to the black background card as this weeks funky fairy challenge is to use faux stitches, so out came the white gel pen. Ribbon tags, ribbon, flowers and brads are all from Poppicrafts. Thought i would add a little packet of pencils to the inside of the card too.

Mum's Birthday Card.

It's my mum's birthday today and this is the card i made for her. I love the penny black stamps and even though they really suit any age i think i'll have to invest in some flower stamps for more mature cards. Anyway i know my mum will love her card anyway, i have used the 'Daisy Chain' stamp and coloured it with marvy pens, matt and layered with pink card and dovecraft birthday paper, ribbon, brads and flowers from Poppicrafts of course. Right i really need to challenge myself, my cards are always the same, i need to try some new technique's or something, i'm going to go blog hopping and see what i can come up with, watch this space lol.

SBS18 Challenge.

Ok, I've not done much crafting this week with one thing and another so i sat down last night and made this card for the SBS18 Challenge, 'farmyard fun'. I was stumped at first then remembered i had the little pigs from Pink Petticoat. I have coloured the image using prisma pencils and sakura pens, doodled around the image and matt and layered on yellow and green paper all of which has been cut with a wavey blade. The brads and flower are from Poppicrafts and the sentiment is a stamp from stampin up.

ABC. D is for Decoupage.

My goodness we're at D already, if you don't already know about the ABC Challenge Blog then check it out, we have been giving away some fab candy as prizes and this week is no different. This is my sample card for 'D is for Decoupage', i have used a Jasi-kins image which has been decoupaged (very difficult to tell by the photo), this was then mounted on purple card, embellished with butterflies and doodle dotted with black 3d paint (love this effect) i then ran mirror card through my friends cuttlebug (swirls folder) and again mounted on purple card with more 3d doodles, lastly mounted everything onto white card, added a black ribbon and purple and black flowers with brad from Poppicrafts. Quite a gothy type of card which i have become quite famous for, not to everyone's taste but i love them.

ABC Sample. C is for Charms.

Ok Crafters, this weeks ABC Challenge 'C is for Charms' and this is my sample. Its a plain cream card with peel-offs, one of the simplist cards i've done in a long time but i think its lovely. I matt and layered the sentiment with mirror card and foam pads, then added the all important charms which i got off a friend as part of my birthday present, thanks lee anne. I am also entering this card for the Daring Cardmakers Challenge whose theme is 'peel offs' this week.

Dutch Dare Challenge.

This is my entry for the Dutch Dare Challenge, which is 'one piece of designer paper'. My designer paper is from Funky Fairy's and the image is from pink petticoat, it is matt and layered on coloured cardstock and of course i've had a doodle, embellished with chipboard flowers and tag from dovecraft, last but not least brads from Poppicraft. There was supposed to be a lovely flowery ribbon on this card but i had everything stuck down before i realised i'd forgot to put it on, Oh well.

Cute Card Thursday's Entry.

This is my entry for Cute Card Thursday, 'Card for a Child'. It took me ages to do this card, due to all the colouring and cutting but i'm really pleased with the result. The images are William, leaves and acorns by magnolia stamps and i have coloured using prisma pencils and sansador, colouring isn't as good as i'd hoped as i'm in desperate need of new paper stumps, will have to get them ordered. Anyway, buttons, brads and ribbon from poppicrafts and backing papers from a magazine.

Funky Fairy's Challenge. Get Well Soon.

This week on Funky Fairy's the theme was 'Get Well' so i made this card for myself (can you hear the violins playing lol) only joking. I got the idea from Dawn's stamping studio, where she show's a tutorial on how to make this triangle pull out card. The image i have used is by penny black and i have coloured it with marvy pens and water, backing paper is from Dovecraft and ribbon from my stash, more doodling and a lovely little verse from imag-e-nation.
verse reads:
Hope this happy get-well note
Adds sunshine to your day
And shows you that you're thought of
In a warm and special way.

B is for Baby

This weeks ABC Challenge's theme is 'Baby' and this is my sample. Its quite a simple card, lili of the valley fairy added to some beautiful lilac card i had in my stash, i handmade the little scroll and added peel offs, some ribbon and flowers from poppicraft, some doodling stitches (really getting into this doodling) and a few gems for good measure. I always put a bit of bling to the fairies with a sakura glitter pen but it doesn't really show up in the photo's. Oh and by the way, if your in need of ribbons, flowers, brads, buttons etc Poppicrafts are doing 15% off at the minute, i'm not connected to poppicraft in any way but i know how we crafters love a bargain lol.

Last Call for all you A's

If you didn't already know a new challenge blog was launched last week, ABC Challenges, each weeks theme is based on a letter of the alphabet eg this week was A for animal and tomorrow's is B for....... AAAAhhhhhh my pic's are driving me crazy. Anyway, this is my entry for Cute Card Thursday Challenge, theme 'no patterned paper'. The image is from Pink Petticoat and i have made this card for my sister who moves to Gibralter today, lucky lucky lucky little sister. I have coloured the image with prisma pencils and sansador, matt and layered with yellow and blue card (looks green in the pic) and i have added little white dot's to these, (but you can't see them in the pic).
