Forever Friends and Handmade Flowers

Hi Peeps, hope your all well. My house seems so empty tonight, its giving me a wee look into the future and I'm not sure I like it very much, my partner works away a lot so I've always been used to that, my two eldest have grown up and flew the nest so I've sort of got used to that as there is usually still 3 at home to keep me occupied but my 18 year old is visiting my sister in Gibraltar and my 14 year old has gone out to a concert with her friend and its just me and the wee man left at home, I think my Mum felt sorry for us and invited us around for dinner which was lovely but what am I going to do when they've all up and left?  Well I've a few years yet as Kalen is only turning 8 and by that time I may need the break lol. Ok, this is a little card I asked the girls in my class to case last night, I wanted them to try colouring with distress inks and have a go at making their own flowers, they done a fantastic job, their cards were gorgeous and I think they enjoyed the water colouring. I've made this card for my daughter Jessica from her siblings, the roses are made using Marianne dies and the little daisies are just a punched with a little bit of Sakura pen in the centre, designer papers are from Stampin up and I've added faux stitching around the border of the papers.

I know you can't see it here but the Balloon and background have been washed with twinkling h2o's which gives a lovely sparkle, the centres of the roses are little dew drops.

Right, off to make some fathers day cards, I'll be round tomorrow to visit you all. x
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Hi Donna

Such a beautiful card.

Sweet image, fabby colour combo and the perfect embellishments. What more could you want.

Hey .. .. don't you worry about that empty nest yet .. .. you just enjoy and make the most of everyone whilst they are at home with you. (Plenty of time for sulking once they are gone LOL!!).

Take care

Oh Donna, this is so beautiful!! Love the image and the gorgeous colour scheme. Beautiful details too.

When my daughter left I still had two sons at home and then they left within 2 weeks of each other. I cried buckets but got used to them not being there ... then they came back, lol! I've got one at home now but he'll soon be on his way :(

You've got loads of time yet so don't be sad.
